This retired Vice President, whose roots were planted in Jamaica and later extended into American soil, earned his Bachelor of Science in Jamaica before immigrating to the United States, where he obtained a Master of Science (MS) and a Master of Public Administration (MPA). His impactful 35-year career began in the US private sector and concluded in public service.

He has spent a lifetime overcoming obstacles while navigating issues of rural upbringing, paternal shortcomings, education, adolescent vices, religion, politics, love, immigration, social class, race, marriage, divorce, fatherhood, career progression, mentorship, volunteerism and entrepreneurship.
